 Start using earlier rather than laterAug 07, 2010
I had noticed my hair collecting in the sink for over a year before I realized it was thinning. I have been using this product for 3 months and it works! I was thinning (not even near bald but noticeably thinning) and now the "crown" on my head is filling back out. It hasn't done much for the recession in the front yet (and perhaps never will) but is definitely working. My wife is happy with the results too. Of course, now I am committed to using this for life BUT a $50 commitment per year ... well, if I live another 20 years, we're only talking $1000 bucks (assuming the price doesn't significantly increase.)
Using this product has caused dandruff for the first time in my life, but it is manageable (not noticable) with use of dandruff shampoo. Also changed the texture of my hair (little stiffer) but my hair if fine so that is not a problem. Had such a dry scalp I had a few scabs initially but those are gone. Bottomline is the alcohol medium really dries out your head. I am regularly using a conditioner and that seems to have addresssed the scalp drying impact. Only other item (but not a big deal) is you must apply in the morning and at night but, once it is a habit, no big deal. A little bit troublesome when on extended backpacking trips but manageable. The best way to apply is to use the eyedropper to apply directly to the scalp (not the hair) in a regular sawtooth pattern, starting at the front and working your way toward the back (or vice versa). Be sure to go a little beyond the obviously thinning area.
In closing, if you think you are thinning, you probably are ... get a short haircut and it will be obvious ... if you start early, the results will be better.

Received individual bottles in a usps envelope mailer. Very uprofessional. I e-mailed them with my complaint and got no reply. I will never order from these people again!

Side Effects are not worth it to me...Nov 19, 2009
Ok side effects mentioned on the box are like can cause a rash, dizzines, burning scalp, upset stomach, acne, headaches. It even mentioned causing a faster than usual heart beat and or chest pains which still didn't stop me from using this product. With in a week of using this product I was experiencing cold sweats at night, extreme tiredness and sleepyness. At the same time I experienced some sexual disfunction to eventually full erectile disfunction. I gave my doctor a call and he told me that there is a very small 2 percent chance this can happen, which is why he never told me when he recomended I used Minoxidil for my hair loss. I immediately stopped using this product and guess what, cold sweats became less prominent and my manhood returned. So since I came here first to read the reviews which is why I bought this product it is only best I submit a review of my experience with this product. Please keep this in mind I wish I had read this before I used it.

I've been loosing my hair since I was 17 years old (early Alopecia) so I've been using most products out there unfortunately most of them where or are expensive and/or require prescription and a long period of use to start seeing results. I've also used natural remedies and the famous Laser comb with no results!!
I'm not completely bald but I have very noticeable bald spots on the back and front of my head.
Now 31 years old I'm so glad I found this product it is the first I ever used that didn't irritate my scalp or cause flakiness like Rogaine (and some others) did in my case forcing me to stop using it... not to mention more expensive.... This product works on top, front and back of the head, after 2-3 month I had noticeable results. You know that a product works when not only you can see it working but also other people around you noticed too!!
Some people complain that you have to apply 2 times a day or that it is very messy or oily... It all depends on the length of your hair the longer the hair the messier will be and it will take longer to dry....I buzzed my hair (not shaved) so it dries faster and absorbs better in about 30 min. Also applying the product twice a day it's like brushing your teeth it becomes routine!!
In my opinion combine with a good hair loss treatment shampoo and/or pills you could see faster results but right now I'm only using Kirkland 5% Minox. I'm on my 5th month of the treatment and I will continue using it...every case is different in my case it really works!!!

I don't see how you can use this stuff before going to work. It is pretty obvious you have some goop on your scalp. The dropper carries 1 ml of liquid, which doesn't sound like much but it is. I don't have time in the morning to put this stuff in my hair (after I shower) and then wait to let it dry.
