A doctor recommended, proven way to lower your risk of a heart attackMar 28, 2012

As a man in his mid-50's with some family history of heart problems I decided to ask my doctor about a lose dose aspirin regimen. He felt that I was a good candidate for the treatment and that it, along with regular check-ups and exercise, could lower my risk of a heart attack.
Although there are cheaper low-dose aspirins on the market Bayer was recommended because it's coating causes the drug to dissolve after it has left the stomach. Also, let's be practical; since a bottle of 400 will last over a year, what's a few dollars a year in exchange for peace of mind?
Once I received the product I was really surprised at how small the pills are. Once the cotton and the anti-humidity thing are removed the aspirin fills less than half of the bottle (of course, I replaced them both in order to keep the aspirin fresh). Unless I encounter any serious side effects related to the regimen I will be taking one of these little guys each day for a (hopefully) long, long, time.

I take two of these daily as part of a low dose regimen (speak to your own doctor to see what it is right for you). My local Costco currently charges about $11.60 for a box of 400 tablets and $8.60 on sale. I have not found a lower price.
The pills are small, easy to swallow, and don't dissolve right away in my mouth like some inferior generic aspirin products do.
If taking a lose dose aspirin daily is right for you, then this is the product to get. However, shop for price.

This Bayer item is a very good low dose regimen formulated Aspirin. My mom's doctor recommended them. I checked them out. They have a good track record.

Doctors have been advising a daily use for years and it works. Don't start a daily use without talking to your doctor.
