 Supplements - How do you know one works?Jul 19, 2011

It's hard to qualify the benefits of a supplement unless a person experiences a dramatic difference. When it comes to joints, etc., that can be very difficult to determine. That being said, the supplement seems to work as well as my previous brand. It is definitely, quite a bargain.

I use it and I give it to my 3 elderly dogs (one of them also takes Rimadyl). It helps me and I think it helps them too! I wrap their pills in a bit of cheese (the pills are rather large). If you have trouble swallowing pills, I would recommend trying a smaller pill, but I have no trouble with them. I take 2 per day with the rest of my vitamins after dinner, and I give my dogs one a day (with meals). I've been taking glucosamine for about 3 yrs. now and if I am consistent, I don't have as much trouble with my "trigger finger" thumb, or my wrists, which normally really bother me, especially in the cooler months.

Seems to be a good product. As another review stated, its hard to know sometimes with products like there how much true value there is. I am taking this for myself and also giving it to an arthritic Boxer (dog)
Cheaper at Costco if you are a member. They have frequent coupons to make it a little more than 1/2 the price here.

When I bought the product the only labeling was that there were 375 tablets and they were advertised as 1500 mg. When I got it I found that it takes two tabs to get 1500 mgs.

I can usually take three pills with one sip of water or one pill with no water. These pills are so huge that I have to make sure that I've just eaten. For those who can't take big pills, find something smaller..
