3tastes good but has alaJan 08, 2010
By San
My kids love these supplements, even my picky eater. (I think they taste fishy). However, the Omega 3 contained in each pill is comprised of ALA, DHA, and EPA, in that order. ALA is likely useless; the stuff we want is DHA and EPA. This item does not state how much ALA is in each pill compared to DHA and EPA. ALA may be broken down in the body to DHA and EPA but in very small quantities. It is likely that this pill is mostly ALA, and I am going to stop giving it to my kids.

5Nummy Nummy Nummy I Got Fish In My TummyNov 21, 2010
By Jezzy
There's a lot of negative reviews for these, though personally I've noticed no "fishy" taste-- and I hate fish. I wonder if maybe different batches have different aftertastes and quality. I really enjoy these and though I often skip my multivitamins... well let's say that the ones in gummy form are ingested more often.

I honestly find them quite tasty, though I suppose the taste is... "different"? I haven't tried to give them to a child (yes, I'm an adult who takes fish-shaped gummy vitamins), and I know children are often picky, but so am I. They're convenient for me-- no water, no giant pill to swallow, no fish burps (although I never had one when I took gels either).

One of the hardest issues with supplements is you don't always know when they're working. So, I have no idea whether to say these are effective. But if you like the taste and don't mind spending a little ka-ching, then these are pretty good. I've only seen them in the huge bottles, so it could be a gamble, but if you don't like em, send em my way. ;)

3Doesn't taste any better than the CVS brandOct 09, 2009
By Kim
I bought the CVS brand first since it was right down the street, but when my 4-year-old said they were icky, I decided to do some research and find some better tasting omega 3 supplements. I ordered the Lil Critters Omega 3 gummies, and they taste the exact same as the CVS brand. I was able to trick her into liking them more because I kept saying that I ordered her some good tasting gummies, and she eats them, but she'd really rather not. And I wish they could fit all the omegas into just 1 gummy. Getting a kid to eat 2 of something they don't like is much harder than just 1!!!

5not bad if you store them in the fridge!Nov 18, 2010
By S. Leonard "bxrsnkds"
In response to all of the people who think they taste so bad, the package says best stored in the refridgerator after opening...I put them in the fridge before I ever open them. I just checked...no fishy smell. My 3 little ones 7,6, and 3 eat them up without complaint and if we run out they want to know where their "fish nummies" are
:-), we use all of the little critter vits except the calcium. love 'em, no kidding try putting them in the fridge!

2Great Concept But Not So TastyDec 03, 2009
By SD Dave "SD Dave"
I love the idea of an Omega 3 suppliment since my son won't eat fish or nuts. I was hoping these would be as tasty as the Lil Critters Gummy Vites, but they aren't. I couldn't get my 4 yr old son to eat these things. He spit them out. I can't really blame him. I tried them too and they aren't very good; an unpleasant aftertaste overpowers the sugar coating. I was stuck with a whole bottle of these things so I ended up choking the suppliments down daily myself until they were gone. Still hoping someone produces an omega suppliment my son will like. Going to try Barleans Omega punch next.
