4Good, but don't consume on an empty stomachJun 21, 2011
By Rick
These vitamins and minerals are great for a man. A good value. But, I suggest that these be consumed with food or you could suffer from some nausea as I have on occasions.

2Giving me a headach! Has anyone else notice this?Mar 20, 2012
By Joshua James
I like these viamins; they seem to give me energy. But they also give me bad headach. And I have taken them and stopped and the headachs went away. Has anyone else had this problem? I can't use them anymore!

This is a great value for the quantity compared to what you would pay in a local store. Combining it with other item(s) to get the free shipping is even better. Product arrived in a timely manner.

2Tablets are too big to swallow.Jun 29, 2011
By Adela A. Rose "Adela"
One-A-Day has a reputation of small easy to swallow pills. This product is not one of those easy to swallow pills. Ingredients are satisfactory with the exception of Iron.

I will be shelving this product and looking into other options.

1Try the smallest bottle before stocking up on thisAug 27, 2008
By David Bridges
When I was younger, I used to take a One-A-Day multivitamin supplement and it seemed to work fine. Then I quit taking them. Recently I decided I ought to start again and, now being over 50, I bought a few bottles of this version because they were on sale. I sure wish I had not bought so many because within a few seconds of taking the first tablet I started to feel nauseous. Over the next couple of weeks I tried taking them at different times of the day, with and without water, with and without food. Nothing makes a difference.

So far I have not actually thrown up (though it's been close a couple of times) and the effects usually go away after an hour, but during the first half of that hour I really feel unwell and irritable.

I have been told it's the amount of zinc in this that's affecting me (there is more zinc in this version than was in the version I used to take) but I'm doubtful that this is what I am reacting to. I feel bad within seconds of swallowing one so I'm thinking it's the coating. I dropped one in a cup of vinegar to see what happens and after a minute the blue coating was still not entirely gone and the brown of the actual pill was only revealed in patches. It doesn't seem to me as though I could be reacting that quickly to the minerals or vitamins.

Anyway, after a couple of weeks of persisting, I finally cut my losses and threw the bottles in the trash, and the experience makes me reluctant to even try another brand of multivitamins. I guess I'll just try eating a balanced diet for a while and when I get bored with that I'll supplement my intake with Flintstones or something.
