5Best Cinnamon Product On The Market!!Feb 18, 2012
By Charles Dark
Beware of a reviewer who is 'spamming' ANY cinnamon supplement, unlesss it contains the UN-RESEARCHED c.zeylanicum.
Now, about CinSulin®, which is contained in this product. CinSulin® is NOT an ordinary cinnamon extract. It is a patented water-extract of Cinnamomum Cassia, also called Cinnamomum Aromaticum. It is the RESEARCHED species for glucose reduction. BEWARE OF PRODUCTS WHICH USE CINNAMOMUM VERUM, also called CINNAMOMUM ZEYLANICUM, as these are the WRONG species to use according to the most recent studies. For detailed info, I suggest you look at***cinsulin.com*** . It explains what makes this so unique.
Now for my experience with it. About four months ago I tested at 112 for my fasting blood glucose. I already take metformin. My specialist suggested taking CinSulin. He said he had seen patients see 10-20% reductions in their FBG. He said it was worth a try. So after four months, I was re-tested, and presented 105. I am going to continue taking it, and am hoping this further improves. But I am impressed so far, since four months is a relatively short period of time for glucose reduction, as anyone with elevated glucose knows. It is important to note that CinSulin® is extracted in a 10:1 ratio. So 500mg of CinSulin® is equal to 5,000mg of cinnamon bark, minus the potentially harmful fat-soluble compounds.

1Not Ceylon...Dec 27, 2011
By NYFB
This is the spice in a concentrate form. Two types of cinnamon are sold in US, Chinese, Sweet or Burma cinnamon is sold all over but not Ceylon Cinnamon. These two cinnamons are not alike. Ceylon is the true one and the other is not true cinnamon at all, only related to true Ceylon cinnamon. Medical research into possible effects of cinnamon have generally focused on cassia rather than Ceylon cinnamon and according to the National Institutes of Health, this claim is unsupported by research. According to the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, BfR, in Europe, animal studies have shown that the cinnamaldehyde levels in currently marketed cinnamon supplements may be unsafe for fetuses. Because it is less expensive to do so, most cinnamon supplements are made from the Cassia tree, which contains higher than acceptable levels of coumarin. Ingesting high levels of coumarin for a period of time can cause liver damage. This is especially dangerous to pregnant women or those who have liver disease. I consumed a bottle of this which was worthless and after further research, I would not consume cinnamon in this form regardless of the type of cinnamon. If I ever have any issue with my glucose, I will visit my physician. I consume a low amount of Saigon Cinnamon which is sold in a spice form with my oatmeal.
