My blood work from a previous visit to the Dr's office indicated I had a Vitamin D deficiency. I guess I haven't been getting enough sun exposure. Due to my levels, the doctor recommended over the counter (OTC) Vitamin D supplements instead of giving me a prescription. The doctor did recommend purchasing Vitamin D3 over D2 due to better absorption into the body. I compared offerings at local drug stores and finally settled on Trunature's Vitamin D3 extra strength from Costco for its value. These pills contain 5000 IU of Vitamin D3 and 200 mg of organic flaxseed oil. The extra strength 5000 IU quickly stabilized my Vitamin D levels over a 3 month period. Not only did my follow up exam reflect sufficient levels, I felt like I had more energy. This could be the effect of knowing I was correcting a problem, but I stand by it. The extra strength 5000 IU of Vitamin D provided enough extra at safe levels in case I missed a day or two throughout the week. Most of the other OTC supplements were in the 2000-3000 IU range. These were very easy to swallow (about half the size of a Centrum multivitamin) and come in a large quantity for the money!

Buy without hesitation to ensure strong bones, immune system, colon health, muscles, and overall body. My bottle has a long expiration in 2014.

This particular product contains Soy Lecithin. Soy Lecithin is a wast product of Soy refin'n and is not good for people. For a couple of days in a row I took 3 pills a day. Then I stoped and got out in the sun for an hour, and that perks me up. I never felt any different when I was take'n this.

Not enough is written about the benefit of taking vitamin D. Let me assure you that whatever the reason you are reading this review, that this is a quality product. I started with 10,000IU/day for several months and then dropped down to 5,000IU/day for at least 2 years now. In just 1 pill, you get 5,000 IU. Ever since taking this level of vitamin D, I have not had a cold or flu. I'll definitely be ordering this trunature product again.
