 Amazing results - Cholesterol dropped 70 points!Nov 12, 2010

On a recommendation from doctor, I started taking this supplement. She recommended both the Red Yeast Rice and the Phytosterols so I loved getting them both together. She gave me 6 months to lower my numbers or she wanted to put me on meds. I just had a new test done this week. My cholesterol went from 263 to 196 - in the normal range! My triglycerides went from 277 to 173 - still slightly higher but a drop of over 100 points. My HDL dropped and the LDL increased. I still have more HDL (the bad stuff) than I should, but my cholesterol/HDL ration is on the edge of normal range at 5. While I've also been trying to eat better, I ate pretty healthy before so only minor changes to the diet. I have not dropped any major weight in that time so the only major change was these pills. I will continue to take them and see if my numbers are even better in another 6 months!

I have used another brand of Red Rice Yeast before and it lowered my cholesterol 75 points. However this one did nothing for me. Must have minimal content of lovestatin inside. Manufactured cheap.

Well like all reviews I take them with a grain of salt, but I do read them. What I will tell you is that I am 45 years old and in good shape exercise eat well and all that business. I eat red meat rarely maybe once a week if that. I have been using this product in combination with MegaRed krill oil and my cholesterol in July 2011 was 224 and now here in November 2011 it is 193. That is total cholesterol. I do not know what my LDL and HDL's are but will find out the details when I pick up my labs. So for me it worked. I did not get any side effects such as myalgia's or leg pain that one can get from prescription statins although rare.
